Software development, Australia

We build the softwareyour business runs on.

AI made the typing cheap. The typing was never the expensive part.

injuid builds custom software for Australian businesses and founders. The internal system that replaces the spreadsheet, the customer portal, the product behind the idea. Fixed price to build it, a monthly plan to run it. Accelerated by AI, backed by ten years of keeping other people's systems from falling over.

What we build

  • 01Internal systemsThe quoting, job, booking, or stock system that replaces the spreadsheet and the shared inbox.
  • 02Customer-facing softwarePortals, online booking, self-service, and the integrations with what you already run.
  • 03The product behind an ideaFor founders with a customer and no technical arm. Built and run as a partner, not a vendor.

01, The cost

What custom software used to cost.

A custom build through an Australian dev shop, before the tools changed. These are the numbers that made most good ideas die in a notes app.

$150to $250
Per hour, Australian dev shop
400to 1,200
Hours for a real MVP
$80kto $250k
Before anyone uses it
4to 9 months
Before anyone uses it

02, What changed

The mechanical part collapsed. The rest did not.

What changed

Writing the code went from the bulk of the cost to a fraction of it. Builds that were four months are now measured in weeks. That part is real, and injuid uses it.

What did not

Deciding what to build did not get faster. Integrating with the systems you already run did not get faster. Getting security and data handling right did not get faster. It got riskier, because the tools will happily generate something that works and is wide open. The last twenty percent still takes the time it always took.

Relative effort for a typical build. Move the slider and watch which bar moves.

57%of the old effort

2019Now
  • Deciding what to build

Did not get faster. Still needs the people who do the work in the room.

  • Writing the code

Went from the bulk of the cost to a fraction of it. This part is real.

  • Integrating what you already run

Did not get faster. Xero is still Xero.

  • Security and data handlingRiskier

Did not get faster. Got riskier, because the tools will generate something that works and is wide open.

So injuid is fast on the part that compresses and careful on the part that does not. The caveat is the pitch.

04, Two tracks

Two ways in.

They are different deals for different situations. Pick the one that matches yours.

Track A / Build

Fixed price to build it. Monthly plan to keep it running.

For businesses making real money on spreadsheets, a shared inbox, and one person who knows how it all works.

  • A written scope and a fixed price before any code
  • The infrastructure done properly: auth, tenancy, backups, hosting, monitoring
  • Everything registered in your name, not ours
  • A monthly plan so it keeps working after launch

Track B / Incubate

A technical partner, not a vendor. Three a year.

For founders with a customer problem they can describe in one sentence, someone who has said they will pay, and no technical arm.

  • injuid builds and runs the technical side as a partner
  • Reduced cash cost, with equity that vests over time
  • Published selection criteria, so you know before you apply
  • Three per year, so each one gets the attention it needs

05, After launch

Launch is the start of the expensive part.

Most software gets built, handed over, and then slowly rots. Nobody patches it, nobody tests the backups, and the person who built it has moved on. The monthly plan is how injuid stays the person who answers the phone in month seven.

Hosting01
Run on infrastructure in your name, with spend alerts set
Patching02
Dependencies and platform updates, on a schedule, with someone reading the alerts
Monitoring03
Uptime, errors, and cost. We find out before your customers tell you
Backups, tested04
Restored on a schedule, with the result written down
Security updates05
Applied when they land, not when someone remembers
Support06
A named person, a real reply time, no ticket queue theatre
Small changes07
A bucket of hours each month for the things you notice once real people are using it

This is the managed services model applied to software. It is also the reason to pick injuid over a freelancer who is gone at handover.

What the plan covers, and what it does not

06, Who's behind it

Ten years of being the person who gets the call.

Not ten years writing software. Ten years in IT, being the one who gets called when other people's shortcuts fall over. Backups that were never tested. Domains registered to someone who left. Databases open to the internet. Systems that one person understood, and that person was on a plane.

That is the experience injuid is built on. It is why the traps page exists, and it is why the monthly plan is on the home page instead of buried in a footer.

injuid is new. The experience behind it isn’t.

07, Contact

Tell us what you are working on.

Two or three sentences is enough. You do not need a spec, a deck, or a budget figure. If you are not sure which track fits, say so and we will tell you.
